Artisan Blue & White Sea Pottery Ring in Copper & Sterling Silver
Rare, coastal, and completely one of a kind — the centerpiece of this ring is a piece of vintage sea pottery from Scotland: a fragment of antique blue-and-white pottery, tumbled smooth by the sea over decades into a freeform diamond shape. Its surface carries the ghost of its original pattern — vivid cobalt blue on white, like a shard of Delft or antique china reclaimed by the ocean. No two pieces are ever alike, and once this one is gone, that exact combination is gone forever.
Textured Oxidized Copper Bezel
The sea pottery is set in a hand-fabricated bezel of textured and oxidized copper — the surface worked to bring out the warm rose-brown tones of the metal and the depth of the oxidized finish. The copper frame echoes the organic, freeform shape of the pottery shard.
Hammered Sterling Silver Band
The band is hand-forged sterling silver with a hammered finish — its bright, cool silver a striking contrast to the warm copper of the face. My maker's mark "CC" is stamped on the band.
