A butterfly has been captured in vitreous enamel and set in a handcrafted copper frame of leaves and flowers that have been oxidized to bring out the detail. The flower is set with a jade cabochon. The enamel has been in the kiln four times; first the base color and counter enamel, then the crackle enamel, then the butterfly, and last the clear top. The necklace is a melange of semi-precious, glass and metal beads on an adjustable leather cord with a sterling silver lobster clasp.
